The Essex Safeguarding Children Board (ESCB) is a statutory multi agency organisation which brings together agencies who work to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people in Essex, including NHS Basildon and Brentwood Clinical Commissioning Group.

ADULTS

The Essex Safeguarding Adults Board (ESAB) raises awareness and promotes the welfare of vulnerable adults by the development of an effective co-operative.  Members come from a variety of organisations including NHS Basildon and Brentwood Clinical Commissioning Group. .

Reporting your concerns

Professionals working with adults - If you have concerns that an adult may have suffered abuse, you can call Social Care Direct on 0345 603 7630 - guidance documents and the relevant form is available here. Further information about the topic is available on our Safeguarding Adults page.

Members of the public - If as a relative, neighbour or friend you are concerned about an adult in Essex, you can call AsKSAL the safeguarding adults line on 03452 66 66 63. You can call for anything, from straightforward information and advice about abuse to the disclosure of a specific concern. Should you wish to report mistreatment of an adult in Essex, AskSAL will take your concern seriously and ensure that it is investigated appropriately.
