Bank on a pharmacy on May Day

The chances of getting stuck in a traffic jam this bank holiday weekend are quite high and likewise there could be long waiting times in A&E – so why not be smart and beat the queues by visiting your local pharmacist this May Bank Holiday (Monday, 1 May).

Patients can save time in the waiting room by visiting their pharmacist for quick, confidential advice on a range of common illnesses.

Your local pharmacy can help you with more than you might think. Pharmacists offer expert, confidential advice and treatment for many minor health problems.

As most GP surgeries will be closed on Monday 1 May, please order any medication you need in plenty of time so that you have enough to see you through the bank holiday weekend. Check your stocks before requesting a repeat prescription, only ask for the items you need and don't stockpile.
