Locality Patient Engagement Group (PEG)

The GP practices in the NHS Basildon and Brentwood Clinical Commissioning Group are grouped into four localities:

  • Brentwood - GPs in Brentwood area;
  • Arterial - mainly GPs in Billericay and some in Basildon and Pitsea;
  • SEMC - mainly GPs in Wickford;
  • Partnership and BIC - mainly GPs in Basildon and Laindon

Members of the patient participation group (PPG) in each of the surgeries in a locality are welcome to attend the Locality Patient Engagement Group (PEG) where they share information from their particular practices and identify issues that need to be taken up with the CCG. They will feedback and share with their PPG information from the PEG meetings.

The PEG groups in turn feed into our Patient and Community Reference Group which is the formal way we discuss ideas about changes to the way the local NHS works with people from local communities.

Arterial PEG member Charles Novis and fellow members is conducting a survey among users of MSK services by attending a number of clinics. The feedback from the survey will be used to inform service improvements.
