Fit for the Future: new Board Meeting date is set

The outcome of the CCG’s recent Fit for the Future public consultation on potential changes to the local Service Restriction Policy and Intermediate Care Services will now be considered at the next public Board Meeting on Thursday 24 November, 2016.

This follows the decision to defer the previous Special Board Meeting scheduled for 29 September, 2016.

The Fit for the Future consultation closed on 12 September 2016 and all responses received by the CCG during the consultation, together with the feedback provided in a variety of public meetings and events, has been compiled into a report to be discussed at the Board Meeting on 24 November.

The Board meeting will be held in the board room at Basildon and Brentwood CCG, Phoenix Place, Christopher Martin Road, Basildon SS14 3HG. The start time for the meeting is 1.15pm.

Copies of the agenda and public papers for the Board meeting will be available to download here  prior to the meeting.

Basildon and Brentwood CCG Board meetings are meetings held in public rather than public meetings. Although members of the public are not able to participate in the decision-making process by speaking during debates, they can observe how the Board, which is led by GPs, make decisions on local health service issues.

Nevertheless, there is an opportunity for people to put questions to the Board at these meetings.
