Public invited to Basildon and Brentwood CCG Board meeting

NHS Basildon and Brentwood Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is holding its Board meeting on Thursday 24 March and members of the public are invited to attend.

The Board will be discussing a range of issues regarding healthcare in Basildon, Billericay, Brentwood and Wickford and any members of the public who wish to attend are welcome to do so.

The Board meeting will be held in the board room at:

Basildon and Brentwood CCG
Phoenix Place
Christopher Martin Road
Essex SS14 3HG

The meeting will be from 1.15pm-3.15pm.

A copy of the agenda and board papers will be available for download prior to the meeting.

Topics under discussion will include the Non-Emergency Patient Transport Service. Basildon and Brentwood CCG is currently working together with neighbouring CCGs to identify one provider to deliver non-emergency NHS patient transport within south Essex.

Board members will also discuss the Essex Success Regime plan for mid and south Essex. This is a two to three year programme of change to ensure hospitals, GP surgeries and other NHS service providers work together to address deep-rooted pressures and secure high quality, joined-up care for people.

John Leslie, Interim Accountable Officer at Basildon and Brentwood CCG, said: “The CCG welcome any member of the public to attend our Board meetings. It is really important that people are able to see how we make decisions on their behalf on health issues and that our local community are able to express their views on what we do. These meetings are one of many opportunities to do this.”

Basildon and Brentwood CCG Board meetings are meetings held in public rather than public meetings. Although members of the public are not able to participate in the decision-making process they will have an opportunity to hear the latest news on the vision for healthcare in Basildon, Brentwood, Billericay and Wickford.

The meeting will provide local people with the opportunity to ask questions to the Board. If members of the public have any questions they would like to ask the Board,  This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by 22 March.
